Service Advisor

The SERVICE ADVISOR position is the face of the service department so professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills are crucial to uphold our excellent reputation. Passion, drive and integrity are key attributes that successful candidates will possess.
Key Job Responsibilities include:
- Greet customers when they arrive in a friendly and professional manner.
- Verify warranty and service contract coverage when initiating a repair order
- Perform walk around inspections and advise customer of maintenance needs based on manufacturer requirements.
- Accurately document customer concerns, assist technicians when needed to verify concerns and ensure vehicle is fixed right the first time.
- Act as liaison between customer and technician.
- Consult with technicians about needed repairs and alternatives that can be offered in place of expensive repairs
- Follow up with customers and provide repair status updates on a daily basis.
- Gain knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, keeping up with manufacturer’s publications and completing required training.
- Inform customers about potential cost savings and warranty protections
- Assist customer with deciding to fix their car through the dealership’s shop or trading the vehicle in
- Oversee and managing the scheduling and workflow
- Demonstrated ability to work professionally and effectively with all dealership departments
- Drive loyalty by providing exceptional customer service
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Minimum of three years Service Advisor experience required
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs of the department and manage time efficiently.
- Clean DMV driving record
- Bi-lingual is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Periods of sitting, standing and walking throughout shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
